Readout Of Ranking Member Brown’s Meeting with Representative Marcia Fudge, Nominee for HUD Secretary By President-Elect Biden

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) – ranking member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs released the following readout after he met with Representative Marcia Fudge, nominee to be Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD):

“At a time when millions of people are one crisis away from losing their homes or being evicted- it is clear that Representative Fudge is the right person for the job. During our meeting, we discussed a wide range of issues from addressing inequality, the racial homeownership gap, the need to invest in affordable and public housing, and addressing lead hazards that poison our kids.
