Statement by Senator Warren on President Trump Firing National Credit Union Administration Board Members

Washington, DC – Following the news that President Trump fired Todd Harper and Tanya Otsuka, the Democratic Board Members of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, released the following statement: 

“President Trump just fired two Board Members at the National Credit Union Administration in his continued attack on American consumers. This is the latest attempt by Trump to skirt the rule of law, undermine independent agencies, and illegally purge the government of those who work for the American people.”
