Brown Urges Vote to Reauthorize Export-Import Bank
Congress must act by June 30 to ensure that U.S. companies continue receiving support to export their products worldwide
WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) – ranking member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs – today issued the following statement urging Congress to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank before its charter expires on June 30, 2015.
“The Export-Import Bank is vital to helping U.S. businesses grow, create jobs, and compete in the global economy. Congress should continue its bipartisan tradition of reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank now and avoid another self-inflicted economic wound that will threaten jobs and tilt the playing field against U.S. exporters and manufacturers.”
