Chairman Brown and Ranking Member Toomey Announce Banking Subcommittee Assignments for the 117th Congress
WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) – Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and Ranking Member Pat Toomey (R-PA) today announced the panel’s subcommittee assignments for the 117th Congress.
“One of the most important things we can do on this committee is to give a voice to all the people who haven’t had enough of one in their government,” said Chairman Brown. “I am confident these subcommittee chairs will get to work and deliver for workers, and their families. I look forward to working with them, their ranking members, and other committee members to address the issues that matter to working families' lives.”
“The Senate Banking Committee’s jurisdiction is vast – covering everything from the ongoing economic recovery to financial services regulation to housing and transit,” said Ranking Member Toomey. “As such, the individual subcommittees will greatly help to inform the important work of the full committee. I am sure that Senators Scott, Tillis, Rounds, Kennedy, and Haggerty will provide strong, thoughtful leadership in their respective areas of jurisdiction.”
