COMMITTEE ON BANKING, HOUSING, AND URBAN AFFAIRS SUBCOMMITTEE ON FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND CONSUMER PROTECTION will meet in OPEN SESSION to conduct a hearing entitled “Private Student Loans: Providing Flexibility and Opportunity to Borrowers?” The witness on Panel I will be: Mr. Rohit Chopra, Student Loan Ombudsman, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The witnesses on Panel II will be: Ms. Deanne Loonin, Attorney and Director of Student Loan Borrower Assistance Project, National Consumer Law Center; and Ms. Jen Mishory, Deputy Director, Young Invincibles. Additional witnesses may be added at a later date.
