will meet in EXECUTIVE SESSION to consider the nominations of The Honorable Wanda Felton, of New York, to be First Vice President, Export-Import Bank of the United States; and Dr. Katherine M. O’Regan, of New York, to be an Assistant Secretary, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Following the EXECUTIVE SESSION, the Committee will meet in OPEN SESSION to conduct a hearing on “Housing Finance Reform: Essential Elements of a Government Guarantee for Mortgage-Backed Securities.” The witnesses will be: Mr. Joseph Tracy, Executive Vice President and Senior Advisor to the President, Federal Reserve Bank of New York; The Honorable Phillip L. Swagel, Professor of International Economic Policy, University of Maryland School of Public Policy; Mr. Michael S. Canter, Director of Securitized Assets, AllianceBernstein on behalf of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association; and The Honorable David H. Stevens, President and CEO, Mortgage Bankers Association.
