COMMITTEE ON BANKING, HOUSING, AND URBAN AFFAIRS
will meet in EXECUTIVE SESSION to consider the nominations of The Honorable Richard Cordray, of Ohio, to be Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for a term of five years; and The Honorable Mary Jo White, of New York, to be a Member of the Securities and Exchange Commission for the remainder of the term expiring June 5, 2014. Following the Executive Session, the Committee will meet in OPEN SESSION to conduct a hearing on “Bipartisan Solutions for Housing Finance Reform?” The witnesses will be: The Honorable Mel Martinez, Co-Chair, Bipartisan Policy Center’s Housing Commission; The Honorable Peter Wallison, Arthur F. Burns Fellow in Financial Policy Studies, American Enterprise Institute; and Ms. Janneke Ratcliffe, Senior Fellow, Center for American Progress.
